It all started as FAVELA BRAZILIAN CAFE, an inter-generational community hub in Portland, Oregon (USA) from 2019 to 2023, created by the powerhouse couple Rodrigo and Dunya.

Emphasizing Brazilian culture and human connection, Favela embodied the essence of Brazilian culture—a celebration of joy-filled family gatherings, a carefree lifestyle that prioritizes people over appointments, and never-ending celebrations within the community.

At Favela, visitors were welcomed into a warm and inviting space where they could instantly feel the essence of Brazil—from the vibrant music to the delicious food and the strong sense of community. It was a place where everyone felt like family from the moment they walked in.

Now, Favela is expanding its reach as the founders are creating a new project in Portugal - FAVELA FIXE, a place where you will experience the Brazilian vibrance in TOURS, EXPERIENCES AND EVENTS, and one thing is certain—it will always carry the community spirit and energy of the original Favela in Portland.
